Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

The Taj Mahal Of Richmond?

By Greg L | 16 February 2011 | Virginia Senate | 3 Comments

While the Senate is considering whether to pass bills that would potentially reduce the incidence of illegal alien crime in Virginia, here’s an example of what they have already deemed worthy of their support this session: $300 million in new spending for a new office building for themselves.

Does anyone want to hazard a guess about when we’ll be hearing Senators say that it would be too expensive to enforce our laws and we can’t afford to crack down on illegal immigration?  But we can afford to spend $300 million constructing a monument to elected officials?  I figure it’ll only take about a week.

Kudos to Delegate Todd Gilbert in setting the stage so well for what should be a rather educational exercise.

Actually, we didn’t have to wait at all. The Senate killed HB 2332 and HB 2333 today, citing as one of the reasons for their votes that the legislation would be too costly to implement.

We can build monuments to Senators Saslaw, Marsh, Lucas and Quayle but we cannot protect the lives and safety of Virginians from criminal illegal aliens.

Your Senator Colgan, the all powerful czar of the Senate Money Committee did not work for his people and get these passed? The man who can stop any budget bill in the politburo? He did nothing for his people being killed in Manassas?

I think you need more effective senator in Prince William. Czar Colgan cannot get bills passed even when he is most powerful senator, so replacing him you will not lose much. Maybe you get someone who will fight.

One bill out of twelve made it out of the immigration subcommittee Anderson’s E-Veeify bill which was amended to mirror Barkers. Which by the way the business community got postponed until 2013.
