Inkblots Or Senate Districts?

By Greg L | 5 April 2011 | Virginia Politics, Virginia Senate, Prince William County | 2 Comments

I’m not the only one making the compaison between the proposed Senate Districts that Senator George Barker designed with a piece of freeware and Rohrsach ink blots.  RPV decided to make a game of it and established howellorrorschach.com which challenges visitors to distinguish between Senate districts and the ink blots used in this well-known psychological test.  As funny as it is to poke fun here, it really demonstrates how utterly awful George Barker and Janet Howell’s effort to deprive Virginians of their civil rights is here.  Take a look at the districts that will presumptively represent a part of Prince William County and see if they pass the “barf in your mouth test.”

How in the heck do these people have the temerity to call themselves “Democratic” and still foist this outrageous redistricting plan on the people?

UPDATE: The Senate changed the plan again — this is the fourth version in about a week –  and it is still crazy.  Check it out here.

Do not mistake democratic with dictatorship of the proletariat. They use the label of the first but are trying to make the second happen.

But let’s not be too blindly partisan, some of the HOD districts drawn by the Republicans are just as bad. Both houses should be ashamed of themselves and let the college students who won the redistricting do this job.
