Delegate Marshall Steps Up

By Greg L | 2 June 2011 | 13th HOD District | 18 Comments

Once again, Delegate Bob Marshall leaps at an opportunity to defend family values.  Where other politicians fear to tread, Delegate Marshall charges in.

Go, Bob!

Very good. And Mr. Marshall could have included that homosexual behavior increases your and my health care costs because according to a 2010 Reuters article, “nearly one in five gay and bisexual men in 21 major U.S. cities are infected with HIV.” Also, the CDC reported as of 1998, fifty-four percent of all AIDS cases in the United States were homosexual men, and the CDC stated that nearly ninety percent of these men acquired HIV through sexual activity with other men.

Bravo, Mr. Marshall!! I’m sure he’ll be attacked for not being ‘diverse’ but at the heart of it, his main statement holds true: “A flagpole in front of the Federal building is not a commercial or social message board.” Side note: The Federal Reserve is not a federal organization. It is a privately (very privately) held set of banks. So maybe the building is not a federal building. The point is the same, regardless. ;)

Perhaps Mr. Lacke needs to shove his flagpole where the sun doesn’t shine.

Oh sorry, that would be another public promotion of homosexual sewer sex.

What IS the “homosexual flag”??? To my knowledge, I’ve never seen one.

What flag are we talking about? I didn’t realize that there is a special one for homosexuals. Anyone have a picture?

They claim they are flying this flag in support of inclusiveness and diversity, and to honor national gay, lesbian, something or other month.

I want to be included also!!!! Today is national doughnut day!

I demand that the Fed fly a flag with Homer Simpson’s picture on it to show inclusiveness for all of us overweight white guys who keep the doughnut industry in business. Doesn’t diversity include us too?

I agree with AndyH. It would have been good if Marshall had bothered to spell the man’s name correctly when he drafted the letter. Although that won’t cost him any support among the mouth breathers for whose benefit this latest grandstand play of Marshall’s is intended.

I found Marshall’s remark in the final paragraph about “specious posturing” to be highly amusing and ironic. If there is one thing at which Bob Marshall is an expert it is specious posturing”.

Any more names you want to call Delegate Marshall’s constituents? I can understand being critical of an elected official, but I don’t get the left’s consistent desire to belittle voters with whom they might disagree.

We “mouth breathers” are going to return Delegate Marshall to the General Assembly this November. Calling us names isn’t going to change that.

    Thank you Bob Marshall.

Now how about that Federal Congress get off their collective slow train to nowhere and designate every month ” Send an illegal alien home for good” month.

That would be a celebration in diversity we could all benefit from, and we don’t need no stinkin’ “special flag” for that.

This incident makes me ashamed that I retired from the
Federal Reserve. The Fed too has become infested with
a politically correct atmosphere that is counterproductive
to employee morale. What the news article in the Richmond
Times Dispatch doesn’t say is that most of the employees
do not want this sort of thing to happen but it’s shoved
down their throats. Every time there’s a politically correct
holiday or something..something “month” to “celebrate”
there are programs to promote their particular cause and
for some, attendance is mandatory whether you like it or
not. I wonder how much productivity is lost for these events?

Del. Adam Ebbin, the chairman of the House Homosexual Caucus has sent out an email whining about Delegate Marshall’s actions. Of course the email asks recipients to send him money.

    Here’s a snippet:

Those of us who’ve been working within the LGBT community over the last few decades have truly seen that things can get better. When I founded the Virginia Partisans Gay & Lesbian Democratic Club, I wouldn’t have believed the progress that would be made in just two short decades.

You can support my campaign to stop the efforts of Bob Marshall and Ken Cuccinelli to drag Virginia backwards with a donation of $50, $100 or $250 today.

I suggest everyone who appreciates Bob Marshall’s principled stand here visit his website and consider making a donation to his re-election campaign so he can fend off homosexual activists like Adam Ebbin.

Will a Republican run against him in the next primary? His comments his comments last year left me hoping that someone can give him a real challenge.

@Kris: So homosexuals are a threat because they might increase healthcare costs? Implying that the alternative is to let HIV go untreated????? WTF? Are you for real?

Can anyone offer one REAL objection as to why homosexuality in any way threatens society?
