Frank Principi: “I’m Not Doing A Good Enough Job”

By Greg L | 22 August 2011 | Prince William County | 18 Comments

So says the Woodbridge supervisor in response to a question about why the Route 1 corridor looks like “a ghetto.”  I suppose he wins a point or two for being honest here, but you have to wonder why he’s running for re-election if even he admits he’s not up to the job.

You damn right he’s not. That’s why Chris Royse is going to wipe the floor with this guy on Election Day. Take that to the bank…

Royce struck me as a mental midget when he stopped by the house the last time he ran, but anything is better than Principi - even Hilda. At least she did something!

The route 1 corridor has been a god-awful mess for a very long time. It will be for some time to come, regardless of the identity of the Supervisor.

There is still a huge problem with illegals and day laborers on the route one corridor. I hate going to that side of PWC and very rarely do.

Frank Principi has been over his head since the day he was elected. He has condoned illegal immigration and he is pathetic when he comes to business growth and on top that, he is a shrill democrat partisan who will do NOTHING, Route 1, nada, to help you. Think about it. He condones the very element, illegal immigration, that make Route 1 a mess and he baggers the very people, business, who can bring it up to par. His confession that he has not been up to the job is a BFO, a blinding flash of the obvious.

Chris Royse would actually clean up Route 1 and make it a place to grow a business while making the neighborhoods a better place to raise a kid.

Dump Principi before he dumps you.

Rumor is that once Principi is booted out of office and Chris Royce is elected and actually cleans up Rt. 1, Principi is going to open a hair salon with Hilda Barg there called Permanuts.

    my 2 cents :

The Route 1 corridor is and has been a disaster for many years, I have been here for 42 years and counting. There are simple things that could get done but they don’t.

Businesses have been allowed to expand - some have brought in industrial uses that were clearly never there. Existing businesses are allowed to dump junked vehicles and tractor trailers on their property when clearly they never had that before and yet NOTHING is done!

Why??? Wonder if it because the county wants to be business friendly? If that is their plan it is NOT going to work. No one will want to bring a new upscale business into a trashy depressed looking area , nope, nada, never going to happen. Some on the Board of County Supervisors with the assistance of the county staff or vice versa or in tandem has allowed the Rt 1 corridor degradation to flourish over the years!

Then there is the CONSTANT “we can’t do anything” attitude from EVERYONE regarding the day labors is a load of crap….I understand they can’t go after trespass because the the businesses are allowing people on their property and also understand about the courts not taking the loitering charges fine don’t go after it based on that…….Cite the business owners that allow the trash and crap on their property. Then EVERYDAY go out there and write them a ticket to go to court or whatever it is that they do. You can’t tell us that it’s clean and they pick up after themselves we drive by it every day and it is filthy almost ALL the time. NAIL the freaking businesses every day for trash that has accumulated on their property, nail them for the milk cartons being stored on their property (they take them from 7-11 and use them as chairs), nail them for the bags of trash laying around, nail them for their trash cans laying around all the other business have to have theirs behind a tall fence why is the church allowed to have trash cans laying around. Nail the businesses every day, day after day, after day, after day.……. But HELLO no one will do it, because if they did it would not be like it is for the past 5+ years.

Three simple questions needs to be asked of the county:
    1. How many times has the county gone out for the trash and crap at the day labor site on Prince William Parkway and Rt 1 (7-11 and the church)?
    2. How many times did the county tell them to clean up the trash and crap?
    3. How many times has the county brought them to court?

Here is to hoping the next Supervisor for Woodbridge will be able to make the changes necessary!!!!

Calling Woodbridge a “ghetto” (or at least not correcting that description if it was used by someone else) is wrong. That is an insult to ghettoes the world over. Call Woodbridge what it is — a slum.

What ever happened to the indoor range at Marumsco Plaza that the BOS approved in 2009? I heard it was to go in next to the new TODOs (old Giant store), but it remains empty. Anyone know anything? I also heard that Shooters paradise was going to re-open but then the owner died. I would like to open an indoor range in the abandon stores behind Denny’s. But I can not find any info on the status of the other range.

VA-Magoo, I had heard some time ago that the owner that applied for the new range next to (now) TODOS had died. Principi was not to pleased with that application so if you dont get any info from him….you might want to check with Coreys office they might be able to help you. Good luck I would love a place to shoot nearby

That Mr. Frank Principi say’s the Rt 1 “is the heart and soul of my four years in office,” seems to be more of an indicator of ones refusal to accept reality than not doing a good job.

The one thing which will direct resources to improving that area will be when Prince William county runs out of other areas to build. That has been the major catalyst over that last 40 years from 12th street in Arlington on down, and there is no reason to expect that to change.

An indoor 50 yard shooting range in the Manas sas area would be a gold mine. I wonder why nobody has done that?? There is plenty of industrial space available for it. The only other ranges in the immediate area are BRA and the NRA which isn’t even that close and BRA is only 25 yards. A 50 yard rifle and pistol indoor range would make a mint out here. Must be a zoning nightmare would be my guess?

Wow…i actually have impersonators for the impersonator now! I’m flattered!

In any case, Elvis is now back in the building and ready to participate in the Prince William Political Scene now that Mr. Royse is ready to take this douche of a woodbridge supervisor (principi) to the cleaners finally.

Principi is a turd of the worst kind, i hope they are not paying him anything. the route 1 problem is still as horrible as it was years ago, still the same old illegals sitting at 7-11. Drive some ICE vans or something around :)

Until we get a new administration in the white house (bachmann?) we’ll always have an illegal problem, especially with obama granting backdoor amnesty.
