Pathetic Dems Turn To Terrorists For Money

By Greg L | 26 September 2011 | Prince William County | 7 Comments

If you want to get a handle on the panic Democrats are experiencing this election cycle, browsing through “Blue Virginia” is a good place to start.  When all the good you can say about Babur Lateef is that he attended a fundraiser for a PAC that funnels money to Democrats from organizations affiliated with terrorism while Corey Stewart had the audacity not to show up, you’re entirely out of ammo.  It’s getting utterly pathetic.

Sunday night the “New Dominion PAC” had their annual “candidates forum” that isn’t much more than a fundraiser for Democrats.  Since 2005 the New Dominion PAC has funneled about $180,000 to candidates, 99% of which has gone to Democrats.  This year the PAC has had five donors, the largest of which is the International Institute of Islamic Thought which ponied up a $10,000 contribution in May.  The IIIT was a target of the FBI’s Operation Greenquest investigation into terrorist financing and was a major financier for convicted terrorist Sami Al-Arian.  It is an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case according to the Justice Department and also has ties with the Muslim Brotherhood and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

And all Democrats can whine about is that Corey Stewart decided to attend his own event in Woodbridge instead of going to a Democrat fundraiser for an organization affiliated with terrorism financiers?  Oh, the utter horror!

The question that should really concern voters is not why Corey Stewart is skipping events like these, but why Babur Lateef is accepting campaign contributions from organizations linked to funding terrorism.

It would seem to me that the whole thing was a way to launder money from the IIIT to Lateef through this PAC. Lateef jumps to a big #2 recipient from this PAC with over $10K in funding, and IIIT gives this PAC $10K. I suppose IIIT or Lateef figured that a terrorist financier giving money directly to a candidate might not be a great idea, but that we were too stupid to spot it getting laundered like this.

Lateef should return the money, or donate it to a charity that isn’t linked to funding islamic jihadists.

I prefer to visit blogs where one can have a discussion with people who hold views different from mine. Blue Virginia just bans all conservatives, because they are incapable of defending their political positions.

I don’t think its so much the money as it is a congenital kinship of ideology.

Pastor Nadarkhani update: State Department, Boehner weigh in

    By Michelle Malkin • September 30, 2011 10:46 AM

Yesterday, I asked the State Department several times if it would be making a statement about the impending execution in Iran of Christian pastor Yousef Nadarkhani.

Late last night, they finally did — first via Twitter and then directly from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Keep spreading the word, putting pressure on your representatives to speak out, and letting your friends, workers, and faith leaders know.

    Every public condemnation counts

Count Dick Black as part of the Safa Group money recipients as well - this is not limited to the Dems:
