Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

Who Is Patricia Richie-Folks?

By Greg L | 8 February 2012 | Manassas City | 7 Comments

Manassas Democrats haven’t nominated someone to run for city council in many years, but this time around they did actually manage to find an electoral sacrifice to offer city voters. Patricia Richie-Folks should quite easily live up (or rather, down) to the standard of unqualified, out-of-touch and disconnected Democrat nominees that locks Manassas  and Prince William County’s Neabsco district in such a tight battle for the mantle of worst party organization in Virginia.  It’s another doozy in Manassas’ column on this one.

Following a Republican Convention that had 855 pre-filed convention delegates, Manassas Democrats scraped up a whopping total of nineteen people to nominate Richie-Folks Monday night.  I wouldn’t be surprised if this was one of those gags where the last person arriving is told that the meeting is over and they’ve been assigned all the tasks, as this pick left a lot of us political watchers wondering just who the heck this person was.  Candidates popping up out of the blue, who no one has ever heard of before, are just tremendous fodder for political bloggers like myself who revel in examining in detail those people who think they’re qualified for political leadership but have no proof whatsoever to offer as substantiation.

What do we know about Patricia Richie-Folks?  LinkedIn tells us she moved to Manassas from South Florida, where she worked in a hospital laundry, in 1997 in order to work for Prince William County government as an administrative assistant - a position she managed to hold onto for all of six months.  Then she went on to working for a marketing company as a “communications specialist” (read: telemarketer) and now is a “business manager” (read: administrative assistant) for Asia Fortune Enterprises, which operates out of someone’s house in Dominion Valley.  While in Florida, Richie-Folks worked as an aide for nine months to Florida Senator Quillen Yancey, who served one term from 1990-1992 and then decided he didn’t like being an elected official.  That’s pretty much the extent of her experience.

Politically, Richie-Folks is what you’d call “hard left.”  About the only political activity she’s been engaged in is working with an illegal alien lobby named “Virginia New Majority” that wants to grant in-state tuition rates for illegal aliens, protect day laborer centers in Herndon, and assist the Occupy Wall Street movement.  Of course in the article on Manassas Patch about her nomination you don’t see a lot of quotes from her about these convictions, only getting the usual pablum about how we need to increase funding for government so let’s get the economy moving so tax revenues increase.  As with Jeanette Rishell, another fine nominee from this crowd, I’m sure we’ll get a lot of vague talking points during her campaign instead of a real discussion on what her values and ideas actually are.

So there you have it, folks.  A completely inexperienced, unqualified, hard-core leftist trying to act like a moderate is your Democrat choice this election.

I think I’ve seen that before.

UPDATE: There’s more to learn about this candidate on her (now removed) personal facebook page.  Really, it gets worse.

UPDATE 2:  Will Patricia Richie-Folks renounce political violence?  We’re waiting to see.

Just a side observation…Virginia New Majority is SEIU in more ones than one when you look at that bunch.

The Dems are going to confuse alot of their constiuents with a candidate named Richie-Folks. I can hear them muttering right now: “Richie-Folks, another one of those country club Republicans!”

I wish her well. I hope she comes up with some original ideas: self-supporting Ballet companies, don’t start building new schools everytime it rains, etc.,

Are you sure her cousin isn’t named Bitchie-Hoax?

The hell with brain-dead libtard Democraps that believe a fetus in nothing more than a glob of tooth decay with a heart beat and Barney Frank packing fudge with his lover Surge on honeymoon night in Provincetown, Massachusetts equates to marriage between a man and woman within the realm of the conventional nuclear family unit.

Wondering if there will be an “Obama Effect” here where people vote based on race rather than real qualifications?

If the Dems in Manassas vote only for R-F and no other are there enough votes to get her on the Council?

GOP did this in Alexandria and got two on that City Council so it is possible.
