The Washington Times is reporting that a federal judge has ruled that the federal government doesn’t have to tell Prince William County what it did with the more than 4,000 illegal aliens turned over to them under the Section 287(g) Program. The “most transparent administration in history” resorts once again to secrecy, this time in order to hide how it is playing “catch-and-release” with criminal illegal aliens such as Martinelly Montano, who killed a nun earlier this year after being caught multiple times for driving while intoxicated.
When government is sovereign and people are subjects, this sort of stuff happens all the time. A king doesn’t have to tell you what he does or why he’s doing it, nor does a politburo, or a tyrant. Under that model the role of the person is to produce wealth for the government and not cause trouble for the sovereign.
We’re not supposed to have that kind of government. Our founders quite deliberately laid out a form of government where the people are sovereign and it’s the government that is subservient, many times and in many documents, but most notably here:
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
We are supposedly the masters of our government, we are not subservient to it. So when the people call upon their government to report to them what it has done for the people, in their name and funded by their wealth, regarding a matter where the release of information does not impact national security or otherwise cause harm to citizens of this republic, government should have no power to refuse that request. How any mutton-headed judge, or vastly confused person impersonating a public servant can conclude otherwise absent corruption or sedition is utterly unfathomable.
This administration has established a “hot line” for illegal aliens to report any concerns they have to a special office established by the President where public employees lobby on behalf of illegal aliens towards state and federal agencies. This administration has halted any and all efforts to identify illegal aliens using fraudulent social security numbers and has blocked any effort to even inform employers that persons they are employing have committed identity fraud. Workplace enforcement raids haven’t happened in two years, illegal aliens are granted amnesty administratively by an administration refusing to enforce the law, and every time a state or locality tries to pick up the slack instead of rendering assistance with illegal alien problems the federal government sends lawyers to sue that state or locality instead of helping it.
So all Prince William County wants to know is what happened with the thousands of illegal aliens convicted of a crime in the county that were turned over to the feds.
Any decent attorney, like Corey Stewart isn’t going to ask a question he doesn’t already know the answer to. We know what happened. After Obama took over, the feds let almost all of them all go. Right back onto our streets. Child molesters, drunk drivers, low-level drug dealers, identity thieves, gang-bangers, you name it. They just released them back into our community so they could continue to prey on the honest, hard-working people of Prince William County. Now they’re concerned that if any of us knew the truth about what’s happened here, we’d get mad as hell and might not vote for Obama in 2012.
There’s a reason governments keep secrets like this, it’s just that those governments, until recently have always been governing places like Zimbabwe, North Korea, Syria, Myannmar and Iran. Now that kind of government rules over us, and thinks we’re subservient to it.
I shudder to think what’s coming next, if this is allowed to stand.
