Manassas City Council Endorsements

Doug Brown at Manassas Open Forum has endorsed a slate of candidates for City Council, and he has absolutely made the right picks.  Print this out and bring it with you to the polls, and then hand it to another voter before you leave.

The present City Council has gone astray.

Too much focus on silly spending and events to make those who directly benefit happy with jobs and special favors. Things like civil war re-enactments for crowds that never showed, a museum no one goes to, ballets and centers for the arts employing well connected spouses, street improvements for a favorite resturant or two, and of course bike trails for elected officials.

If the spending doesn’t bother you then maybe the porn shops and abortion clinic do? Want more of that in your City for some more tax dollar revenue?

How about the schools? Happy with the reputation and the black eye the City has there?

    Many voters are disgusted.

People outside of the City (with substantial help from well connected City insiders) have attacked good people on Council, their wives, and other organizations like the local Tea Party and grassroots groups of not so well connected residents who, that to this lowly voter, seem to be the only ones brave enough to call attention to all of the above.

The good ol’ boys are still alive, well and in control in Prince William.

    Greg,

Minor correction I did not endorse the candidates supporting these Manassas residents, I applaud them, and I do like Jon Way and I voted for him at the convention. However, I can not support any incumbent running for office in Manassas at this time. I am voting for Ian and Jerry for the city council and a straight challenger ticket for the School Board: Sutherland, Purdy and Chavez.

    Why? Lori Perez.

Where are the Lady Macbeths of Manassas when a woman is really the target of dirty tricks and a corrupt cabal?

Manassas residents want to shake things up today write-in Lori Perez for Mayor!

p.s. Hal did you really think I was going to sell my soul for an Okra Chicken sandwich?

Lori was not popular enough for them to care about Doug. She did not have enough influence with Good Ole Boy Harrover and the old town rich and white and liberal crowd whom he controls/control him for funding all their pet projects like private old houses to fix up and bike trails to crime.
