Governor Campaign FAIL

By Greg L | 17 May 2012 | Virginia Politics, Humor & Satire | 6 Comments

From the envelope enclosing the invitation to the Lt. Governor’s annual fundraiser.

You’d think that someone running for the office of Governor of Virginia might be able to properly spell the title for his fundraiser, which is known as “Burgers With Bill.”  Nice job keeping your eye on the details there, Bill.  Without even opening an envelope you’ve communicated a strong message to recipients, although it probably isn’t the one you wanted to send.

Another foul up from the Bolling campaign, no surprise there!

And another thing, besides all of the ‘ankle biting’ like Mason Conservative talked about the Bolling folks doing, will they at least get someone to design a new campaign logo?

This whole crossing out Lieutenant in Lieutenant Governor with 2013 scribble on the side is well, dumb!

Maybe it was supposed to say “Burgers, Will Bill?” - as in, will he eat them all?

This is what happens when you have a ‘diverse’ staff member proof read your literature.

A goof, for sure. It looks entirely sophomoric, bordering on pathetic. Too bad, too, especially considering Bolling was holding the line, often alone in the VA Senate, long before KC & Co came onto the stage.

If Ken Cuccinelli ends up as the candidate in the general election then he will be able to have a slogan himself ….

Meals With McAuliffe - Governor McAuliffe

Bolling has a chance to win a general election, Cuccinelli has no chance.

Sorry, guys - Cooch is smart enough and might be a good governor. However, he has established himself as a right wing radical. That may appeal to the people who go to the Republican conventions but it won’t appeal to a majority of Virginia voters.

I agree that Bolling has a much better chance in the General Election against Terry McAuliffe there is no doubt about that. This is simply because Cuccinelli has been branded as a Radical and as a Nut Job by the Left. As a consequence of this I believe that the Lefty’s are terrified of Cooch and that hurts him because they will work to prevent getting him elected. While the left has little to attack Bolling who has a flawless record on jobs and taxes.

Sadly to this point I believe that Cuccinelli will prevail, just look at the District level Conventions Ken has flexed his muscles and gotten his people elected to the Party offices. It is important to note that Ken has simply worked it harder than Bill… Ken is EVERYWHERE speaking to EVERYONE. I hope that the District Conventions were a wake up call to Bill and all the “establishment” Republicans your days are numbered if you keep acting this way!

One thing that could save the Bolling for Governor Campaign is a McDonnell Vice-Presidency there is a strong case to be made for Ole Bolling Ball Bill if he is the sitting Governor. That said, Bill you did this to yourself if you paid attention to the races in the Party and Campaigned a little bit more you might not have screwed all your friends and you wouldn’t be between a rock and a hard place!
