Driving liberals, dhimmis and illegal alien apologists absolutely insane since 2005...

Stuck On Stupid

By Greg L | 3 July 2012 | Manassas City | 10 Comments

Last evening the Manassas City Council voted to appoint the leftist, liberal political activist Martin Crim as City Attorney.  Only two council members had the courage to vote against this appointment, Marc Aveni and the newly sworn-in Ian Lovejoy.  It’s refreshing to see that there are actually Republicans on City Council who act like Republican elected officials in Manassas, rather than as emasculated errand-boys for city staff that recoil in sheer terror whenever policy differences surprisingly appear within an elected body.  Unfortunately they’re in a 4-2 minority.

Of all the attorneys available in the DC Metro area, and it’s rather hard to miss one with any errant swing of a formerly-living feline, the best the City of Manassas could come up with for $200 an hour was Martin Crim?  Sheesh.

Liberals voted to approve a liberal city attorney? Conservative minority can’t stop it? Sounds like majority rules. Imagine that!

So, is Manassas more or less likely to respect personal privacy. I used to think that Republicans best protected personal privacy and limited government, but not so much anymore. My increasinly libertarian view says that if I have not bothered or taken anything from you or anyone else, stay out of my home, my car and my internet. Abortion is different only in that there is still a debate over the when the shift occurs from control of the mothers body to the protection of the infant’s. Drug enforcement is a disaster. The costs of enforcement from police to the courst to the prisons to related financial crimes far exceeds the social costs. Everyting else is zoning. So tell me, can I expect to have more respect for this liberal in his defense of my liberty or should I be concerned that he is likely to invade my privacy to an even greater degree.

Your personal privacy and liberty ends when you impact me! If you overcrowd the house next door with too many cars and overflowing trash and leering men at my kids your time is up. Buy your dirty stuff on-line so my kiddos don’t have to see perversion in the windows of shops like the one near Central Library please. Everyone in town knows Crim is scared of a fight, especially the porn owners and abortionists and all the illegals.

Sounds like Lovejoy is Aveni’s second vote.

A lil off topic, but in typical news fashion, we learn that SUVs kill people in St. Paul Minnesota.

Actual Headline: “St. Paul teen killed by SUV remembered at her funeral.”
“Clarisse Grime, run over by an out-of-control sport-utility vehicle, was Martha Tamene Woldegiorgis’s only child.”

(Geesh, i wonder who the driver was?)
