Julie Phone Home!

Right on the heels of having a nut like Lillie Jessie get elected to the Prince William County School Board, who is famous for her anger management issues and other nonproductive personality quirks, Woodbridge representative Denita Ramierez has announced her resignation this evening.  The School Board will soon announce a process to collect applications and appoint a representative for Woodbridge.

Ramirez was a pretty decent representative, especially considering what Woodbridge might have otherwise elected to that position.  She listened, seemed to carefully consider the input she got and asked decent questions of staff before rolling over and doing whatever they wanted her to do.  I never heard her denigrate parents (as Lattin and Richardson were famous for) or otherwise bring dishonor on the board.  Her tenure was about as good as anyone would expect.  Not stellar, but decent.

The imminent return of former Neabsco Representative Julie Lucas to Prince William County is widely rumored at this point, but no details yet on the timing of that move or whether she will be coming to Woodbridge or some other part of the county.  It’s too soon to be hearing of other potential candidates, but rest assured that in a district like this there will be a flood of rather entertaining candidates.

Julie would be a great asset to the PWC School Board. She served the residents well prior to her leaving the area

Given the success of the Obama machine on 6 November, we can anticipate a number of certifiable wack jobs crawling out from under the rocks in future local elections. However, the “News & Messenger” will not be around to paint pretty pictures of these leftwing dangers to society. It will be entertaining.
