Veterans Revolt Against Obama Administration

Sunday morning’s veterans rally at the World War II memorial became the spark for a peaceful revolt against the tyranny and oppression of the Obama administration, as veterans tore down barriers intended to keep them away from the very memorials that honor their service and dragged them to the White House.  They stormed beaches, they walked “point” in the jungles of Southeast Asia, they rolled across the deserts of the middle east and they’re certainly not going to be intimidated by metal barriers with “do not enter” signs.

That of course didn’t stop DC police from beating a few older ladies down with nightsticks outside of the rally, but that’s par for the course with this administration.  They fear those with strength and resolve, and take out their frustrations on the old and infirm.  Watch out for some pretty eye-opening footage from filmmaker Dennis Michael Lynch later on tonight, as he had the opportunity to capture that wonderful demonstration of leftist compassion and tenderness on video.

When the American people have finally had enough of being treated like the chattel of the ruling class, which seems to become ever more likely, veterans will form the core of the American Revolt.  If the Administration allows that revolt to be done peacefully, it will be peaceful.  If it does not, this group knows quite well how to perform under those circumstances as well.  That has to be a sobering consideration for these community organizer types - would American soldiers actually follow orders by Obama to use force against the American people, or would they think about their oaths to the Constitution and instead turn those guns against his Administration?  It’s a question that no doubt Obama would not want to learn the answer to.  Neither would anyone else.

I’ve seen plenty of disgust and disappointment by veterans towards Obama and his liberal elitists over the past five years.  I haven’t seen it rising to such a level as this, and coalescing into a such level of outrage so quickly.  They rightly feel they are being personally targeted in outrageous ways.  Their peaceful political activities suffer harassment from every agency of the federal government, chiefly the Internal Revenue Service.  The Park Service, of all entities, is being directed to intentionally aggravate them.  Their healthcare is being turned into some ridiculous socialist experiment, the economy is being run into the ground, and the only people this administration seems to have any care about at all are homosexuals and illegal aliens.

There are probably some segments of the American population a federal government could harass at will with little or no consequence.  Veterans are not that demographic.  If this willful harassment does not come to an end very quickly I can quite easily see those who swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic to start putting that oath to good use.

UPDATE: And the video clips from this start to pour out…

At the end of the video . . . was the operator of that POLICE Suv attempting to stop the long line of peaceful veterans by blocking the crosswalk they were pouring through and turning on it’s flashing lights? Is there follow-up video?

I think this was a revolt against the House of Representatives. Not sure what the Administration has to do with it once the funding is withheld for government operations.

Let’s see here. Did the House of Representatives deliberately set out to antagonize 90 year old combat veterans? I think not.

No., of course not. It was just complete incompetence, not veteran-directed malice. The House Rs were trying to de-fund Obamacare. I don’t think they thought for even a few seconds about all the collateral damage their tactics would cause. But I don’t think any of us are giving them a pass because they were too reckless, thoughtless, or thick to appreciate the harm they were inflicting on the nation. Virtually everyone looking at it from the outside in the run-up to the shutdown could see that this was going to have catastrophic impacts. The veterans are quite properly upset with them.

Scout your viewpoint has been tainted by spending too much time on the anti-BVBL site. The vets didn’t pile the barry-cades up at the House of Representatives. Where did they put them? The signs in this post don’t say Impeach Boehner, do they? The Congress didn’t close the memorials including unmanned memorials in France; intentionally chose to not pay the soldiers death benefit, in fact they passed bills to keep them open, only to have them ignored by Reid. The 17 past government shutdowns due to budget disputes have NEVER expended resources to put up barry-cades to block open and unmanned parks and memorials, overlooks, and the like. This took an Executive branch order to “make it as painful as possible.” So quit trying to blame House Republicans.

Anti bvbl.net no longer exists. I doubt if that’s the cause of Scout’s rational thought.

NPS personnel have been directed to make it hard for veterans, and easy on the illegal immigrants. Illegals were allowed to set up a stage on the Mall. Sheez!

If the Veterans were directing their revolt against the House, then pray tell, why did they dump the barricades by the WH?

@ Gman: I share my views with a few sites, I don’t get them from the sites.

@ Cynic: I think either they had bad directions; or were misinformed; or were being manipulated by people using them cynically for political purposes; or a combination of all three.

So let me get this right. You seriously think that President Obama is really The All Powerful Oz? That he has the power to fund or not fund the government? That he is intimately involved in each and every decision and his intent is to make non citizens happy and agitate those who served in the military?

It has been tradition for a vocal group of military and veterans to spew venomous hate against Democratic presidents for no good reason. They do so while fawning over Republicans for that same lack of reason. It’s shameful.

Let’s stop living in bizarro world where hate is the religion of the day and start actually working together to find solutions to make our country better.

My, My how you libs change sides depending on who is in charge. When it was Bush in office and libs were protesting him in 2003, Hillary Clinton said: “”I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you’re not patriotic. We should stand up and say we are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration.” http://youtu.be/NJxmpTMGhU0

Debate and disagree? Yes, absolutely. Spread lies and spew venomous hate? No, absolutely not.

Obama has no control over the actions of the police towards the veterans…. just saying. Also the government shutdown was a result of both parties not being able to agree on anything. If anything it proves how political parties are the worst thing to happen to this country.

Manuel, you gotta get your head out of the sand. It’s been well established that the National Park Service got orders to screw with people as much as possible during the shutdown.

He seems to be proving himself that that is exactly his intent. And that’s not even considering millions of insurance cancellations he has caused.
