Some Questions For PWCS

By Greg L | 4 May 2015 | Schools, Prince William County | 12 Comments

Where does Mrs. Gilkerson, principal of Glenkirk Elementary, reside?

Where do her children attend school?

How does that happen? Does the school administration intend to tell the people who are paying their salaries what their senior employees are doing, and how they will address those questions?

From what I have been told, the principal (who lives outside of the county) enrolled her children in PWCS without paying tuition, as policy requires. This principal has been very diligent about enforcing the rule on others, but tried to sneak her own kids in. Since it is unlikely that this could have been done without some degree of coordination, I suppose it is possible that criminal charges are possible here.

Why would anyone want to sneak their kids INTO PWC schools?

It might have been part of her negotiated comp plan. That wouldn’t be unreasonable to me. Lots of things get negotiated when comp plans are put together. It’s worth asking PW CS directly. An email to Dr. Waltz perhaps?

If so it needs to be reported to the IRS as a taxable fringe benefit. That also goes for localities that let employees drive city vehicles home.

Remember what Al Capone got busted for…

Worrying about what’s on someone else’s taxes? Get a life!

fedup, if its in her comp plan, it would be reported. I don’t care enough to ask. If someone cares, they should simply ask.

I’d fact check before accusing anyone of criminal activity.

Some people just are more comfortable being mad at other people and the perceived wrongs in the world than looking at themselves.
