The Slaughter Of Children In Manassas Will End

By Greg L | 15 September 2015 | Manassas City | 11 Comments

After years of quiet protest and silent prayers as tens of thousands of innocent young lives were snuffed out, the abortion center in Manassas known as Amethyst Health Center for Women will close on September 28th.  So many have worked with dogged determination to provide alternatives to women considering abortion, and they deserve our thanks.  So many have spent countless hours outside the center holding signs that affirm the value of life, and they deserve thanks, too.  And all of you who never stopped offering up your prayers, you deserve thanks.  The real thanks for this, though, belong to God, for it’s He that did this, and some of us just had the honor of being part of His plan in all this.

It would be worthwhile to have a memorial to those lives taken during the 27 years of butchery we endured, but it’s unlikely a suitable location at the site could be found for this.  Perhaps another spot of city-owned property downtown could be dedicated for this purpose.  At about five abortions a day, that’s almost 50,000 lives that were extinguished, roughly the population of the city today.  Imagine anything that would have killed just a fraction of that number in Manassass, and there would be plaques and monuments to their memories everywhere.  Yet these innocent children, whose names we will never know, have nothing dedicated to them.

It is a relief to see Manassas added to the rolls of those cities and towns where abortions are no longer performed.  We need to keep it on those rolls.

UPDATE: For all of you who are interested in learning about the “quality healthcare” available at this abortion facility, this health inspection report information may be enlightening as may this response from Amethyst Health Center for Women.

One day Americans will look back on abortion the way that we look back on slavery today, the difference being a society that condoned owning other human beings as property vs. a society that condoned the wholesale slaughter of other human beings. No doubt they will consider our time to be the more barbaric of the two.

The owner is retiring. She is about 80. Hardly divine intervention.

Women have always had abortions. They always will.

Now the people should pray to end unwanted pregnancy.

There is always a reason given for an action taken, and then there is the real reason.

What are the reasons why this site is closing?

If the given reason is retirement, someone else could have kept it going.

Is the closing a result of the publicity about organ harvesting?

Is it due to higher health and safety standards passed by the Virginia General Assembly?

Answers to why it closed could be helpful to pro-life activists in other areas.

It’s been known that she has been wanting to “get out” of the slaughter business over the last 12 months. Seeing that much carnage has to take a toll.

I don’t care if it’s open or not. If, God forbid, any of my daughters ever needed an abortion I can afford to have it done elsewhere.

And the war on women continues! Good job, you loony religious whack-jobs.

PROTIP: Just because you subscribe to a primitive religion that states sex is icky and if you get pregnant you HAVE to suffer the consequences, doesn’t mean everyone else wants your delusions forced on them.

If I was asked if abortion is “right” or “wrong” (assuming there are such things) I would have to say “wrong”. Having said that, I believe abortion should be legal, and available, but that women, and in fact all people should be taught that abortion is detrimental to society, our species, and our personal well being (not to mention the young life). By asking our grubbermint to adjudicate on this matter, we are asking them to play the roll of “parents”. We are abdicating our rights to them. We are giving up our freedom. And we are giving it up to a bunch of morons who can’t follow their own laws. Personally, the image of a woman playing the roll of a young child, to a pregnant woman going into an abortion clinic, and saying “Please, mommy!! Please, please don’t kill me!”, is about as powerful an image as I can conjure. Keep people free. Keep the grubbermint out of our business. Teach that abortion is wrong.

Understandable, however if these are lives, they are lives worth protecting with the law just as we would protect any other innocent life. We don’t make infanticide a matter of moral choice, and the argument being made by many (including myself) is that there’s no moral difference between infanticide and abortion.

“if these are lives” … I’m sure you and I agree on this. They are lives! Human lives! Life begins at conception! If not then, when? There is no breakpoint. There is a continuous spectrum from conception to death. But many others do not agree with our viewpoint. And I have no means to convince them. This is where idealism and realism diverge. But I maintain that with further education, and time, one day everyone will agree with us. Until then, Cheers! My Friend!

Just like Greg I am in favor of laws that agree with my moral stance, but am against laws that disagree…

The legalization abortion arose because women (I know you don’t care about them) were dying in an effort to get illegal abortions. Abortion will never be ended. Any women who wants an abortion will get one including the poor. You nuts don’t know what you are talking about and should look to the facts. You are against contraception and abortion. Simply, you want to control women and by controlling their bodies and, specifically, their vaginas. I hope that there will be some way for women to obtain abortions via internet guidance. Will you hack into those computer and drag the women through the streets and stone them? BTW, one of your heroes, Carly, had an abortion herself. Check it out.
