PWEA Are Nothing But Union Thugs

By Greg L | 23 June 2017 | Schools | 8 Comments

Back in 2009, when facebook was just starting to become “a thing,” a number of concerned parents joined together there to form a “Prince William County Education Reform” group to discuss the county’s math curriculum and coordinate efforts to advocate for reform.  Eventually, the “Math Investigations” curriculum would be replaced and one of the leading proponents of that program on the school board would be defeated by Alyson Satterwhite.  That group has been one of the most long-standing and impactful resources for parents who want to have a voice in how their taxpayer dollars are spent educating their children.

Of course the Prince William Education Association and the Virginia Education Association teacher lobbies felt threatened by this.  These left-leaning lobbies, slavishly devoted to the Democrat party and the principle that elites should dictate what the proletariat is allowed to get, fought bitterly against the parents on PW Education Reform at every turn.  After name calling and public bullying didn’t seem to work, they settled on a different strategy - to embed themselves in these parent resources, try to take them over, and eventually destroy them.  Last night they celebrated what they think is a victory in wiping out this six year experiment in representative democracy.

This would make the second time a reform-oriented parents group got “shut down.”  The previous time was when “Our Schools,” established by Tracy Conroy after Justin Kern and his union thug buddies started infiltrating PWC Education Reform was shut down after Conroy was subjected to a stunning degree of online harassment.  One of the more abusive practices in this effort was to take Tracy Conroy’s campaign photo from when she ran for the school board and post it on sex sites along with her phone number so that random perverts would call her up asking her to do all the degrading things that were posted on the profile.

When I started to push back against this effort, these thugs tried to do the same thing to my family, along with trying to gain access to all our social media accounts, our cell phones and our email.

Kim Simons, one of the people who originally established PWC Education Reform has also been subjected to rather brutal harassment.  One of the more heinous attacks involved posting false and defamatory information on the internet that she worked in a rather unseemly sex-oriented industry in an effort to destroy her client base and harm her ability to earn a living.

Justin Kern has been an operative for Ralph Northam’s gubernatorial campaign and frequently publishes union propaganda pieces for the VEA, and has been very active on the PWC Education Reform group.  One of Justin Kern’s colleagues, Daniel Foose, is one of the key political operatives of the teachers lobby, someone who sits on the Board of Directors of the PWEA and the recipient last year of the “Rob Jones Political Activist Award” and is also involved in this organized effort by the union to shut out parent’s voices.

You probably hadn’t heard of this award either, so here’s how the Virginia Education Association describes it:

A newly created award intended to recognize an individual whose actions have contributed significantly to the advancement of public education legislation/policy, or to the election of public education friendly candidates in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

After Foose had the temerity to actually post this to PW Education Reform, he tried to explain this away as recognition he got for advocating for candidates to the leadership of the VEA.  No dice.  Foose, Kern, Martin and the rest of their union thug buddies, all of whom have been highly active posting teacher union propaganda, beating down parents for thinking differently than they do, and pushing Democrat candidates for office at every opportunity, are above all political operatives.  All day, every day.

These union thugs cannot tolerate anyone having any opportunity to have a voice in our democracy unless it perfectly conforms to theirs.  There seems to be no limit to what they will do to achieve their ends, particularly when their intended victim is a woman, who they apparently believe is an easier target.

We can sit back and let this happen, or we can make sure that regardless of the amount of abuse, harassment and outright criminal behavior these union thugs engage in we will never let them succeed and will fight their leftist political agenda at every turn.  One more resource for parents may be gone now, but that doesn’t mean parents can’t band together in some other fashion so they can still have a say in their children’s education.

UPDATE 7/4: Apparently PWC Education reform is back up, with a whole new set of rather interesting “rules” announced by one of the moderators:

Guidance for posts to this group:
Be Civil, no personal attacks
Keep it relevant to PWCS
No political endorsements or attacks (including recall efforts)
No charters or vouchers without admin approval
No links to external blogs without admin approval
No using information from this site to launch attacks elsewhere. Admin decision is final.

This ought to be interesting. You can’t mention the effort to recall Ryan Sawyers (a.k.a. Kim Jong Un, his chosen pseudonym in the comments section here), the only allowed links are from the typical left-leaning media, and somehow they’re going to police every external discussion about PWC Education Reform and the efforts by the left to bully and silence concerned parents. But if you want to link to NEA propaganda, well, that’s just fine.

The irony of this being announced by teachers on Independence Day was quite obviously not recognized.

UPDATE 7/5: The moderator in question was inaccurately identified as a member of the PWEA.  The post has been corrected.

Sadly, the Democratic Party has become totally hijacked by the bullies. I was never a Trump fan, but I can see why he is popular given the lefts zeal to stamp out ANY dialogue or perceived dissent to their control.

Face it Greg, your kind of hate is no longer welcome here. It’s not 2007 anymore.

[Ed note: This is Ryan Sawyers, quite appropriately adopting the pseudonym “Kim Jong Un”]

So the Facebook Administrators take a vacation break and these clowns take credit for taking the page down, just a little delusional on their part.

Sadly Cisgender, you’ve got no clue what you’re talking to yourself.

We can thank Harry Wiggins and Ryan Sawyers for promoting those lies about Kim working in the porno industry. These commies are a plague. They shouldn’t ever be in a position of power because no one who disagrees with them will ever be safe.

The admins take a short break and you come up with this? It was a joke on his personal Facebook page that no decent human would have used like you did.
If you can’t add anything positive to the education conversation, don’t bother saying anything.

Greg, it’s back up again now after my week in the Caribbean. Please take this post down; it’s inaccurate and mis-informed. We don’t need this kind of bullying (pot-kettle?)
