87th HOD District Category Archives
This was a race that shouldn’t have been anywhere near close. A strong conservative, running in a highly conservative district encompassing a swath of mostly Loudoun County and some of Prince William County, narrowly ekes out a 51 vote victory margin against a no-name liberal who runs a weak campaign amidst the biggest Republican wave […]
A lawsuit by Jo-Ann Chase’s campaign alleging that David Ramadan does not live in the 87th District was, as predicted, shot down in court yesterday. Ramadan sought an expedited hearing schedule so this annoyance could be dispensed with before the November elections, confident that this instance of harassment-by-attorney would be easily brushed aside.
This has left Jo-Ann […]
On Wednesday we will be done with having a nutcase like Jo-Ann Chase running for office, and for me that moment cannot come soon enough. Having crazy people in politics just makes life difficult for too many good people, and the last few days have been crazy — as in off-your-meds, break out the straightjackets crazy.
I can’t imagine Jo-Ann Chase really wanted this endorsement, but Democrat Stevens Miller apparently would rather see her as the nominee in the 87th District. I guess running against a nut is a bit easier for Dems, after all.
While I have to say that, naturally, I hope neither of them wins the election in […]
So when given an opportunity to describe her position on abortion during an appearance on the Kojo Nmamdi Show on August 5th, Jo-Ann Chase strangely starts talking in circles, speaking about how she would “uphold the rule of law.” Well, the law currently states that people can murder unborn children in the first trimester. So […]
Yesterday a South Carolina law firm representing 87th House District candidate Jo-Ann Chase demanded that I “cease and desist any and all publication regarding [their] client” or they would “immediately commence legal action” against me. Well, here at BVBL we don’t take kindly to ridiculous legal threats and have a standard response to dealing with […]
One candidate wrongly claimed an endorsement, only to have VCDL-PAC rapidly issue a request they retract the statement. Instead not only does VCDL-PAC endorse her opponent David Ramadan, but they show up at one of his fundraisers to personally announce their endorsement. I’ve never seen this happen before.
Oh, goodness! Jo-Ann Chase is taking pictures of me!
So here’s a candidate for House of Delegates and one of her campaign volunteers at the South Riding Independence Day celebration this evening, taking pictures of me. Is it just me, or does the behavior here seem just a little unusual for someone who claims to […]
An incident I heard about today reinforces a pattern of behavior I’ve noticed over the past years and voters in the 87th House District would do well to take note. When someone seems to repeatedly experience unusual difficulty in differentiating between fact and fiction, they really aren’t someone you’d consider qualified to exercise any degree […]
